Grid Celebrity
In order to draw more accurately from observation, artists have used many devises. Among these is the use of a Grid to help the artist find proportions and relationships between objects in their images. Using the Grid, students created a proportioned image of their favorite celebrity.
Once all the features of the portrait are placed in the image, students demonstrated their understanding of value (shading) through the use of drawing/shading techniques.
